Privacy Policy for Kids Coloring Games 2–8

Kids Coloring Games 2–8 is designed for children and families. We limit data collection to what is needed to operate, secure, and improve the app. We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track children across apps or websites.

Version 2.1 and Later

Version 2.1 counts how the app is used so we can make it better for children. Unless a parent turns analytics off in Parent Settings, the app counts events such as:

• opening the app;
• opening a theme or a picture, finishing or leaving a picture, choosing a drawing tool, using Undo or Clear;
• starting and finishing Puzzle or Matching Pairs;
• onboarding answers (the child’s age group and favorite themes);
• paywall and purchase steps, and parent gate results;
• sound and music settings;
• save errors.

The app adds each event to a total in memory and sends only those totals, about once a minute, to our own server on Cloudflare Workers. The server rejects any data outside a fixed list of event names and values, does not record IP addresses or network headers, sets no cookies and keeps no request logs. It adds the totals up per app version and day, deletes them after 90 days, and once a day passes those daily totals to our analytics provider, PostHog (EU), without any person profile.

The counts are grouped only into coarse buckets: days since first launch (same day, next day, 2–7, 8–30, 31+), phone or tablet, the app’s display language, and session length ranges. The first-launch day used for the “days since first launch” bucket stays on the device; only the bucket is sent. Version 2.1 sends no advertising identifier, device identifier, installation identifier, user account, name, location, photos, drawings or precise time, and it does not track children across apps or websites. Turning analytics off stops counting immediately and discards counts not yet sent.

Version 2.0

This section applies to Piks 2.0.x, including its TestFlight and App Review builds. The earlier-version section below continues to describe 1.x installations.

Version 2.0 sends no analytics, crash reports or usage events off the device. It has no analytics SDK, persistent analytics identifier, advertising identifier, user accounts or tracking across apps or websites. Small aggregate product counters may be held in memory; they are not written to storage, carry no user or device identifier, disappear when the app closes, and their network delivery is disabled. The parent analytics setting controls this local counting.

Children’s artwork and progress stay on the device. We do not request a child’s name, email, contacts, photos or location, and do not record screens, microphone audio or camera input.

Theme Packs and the Full Version are one-time purchases processed by Apple through StoreKit under Apple’s privacy terms. The app verifies Apple-signed transactions locally to determine access. We do not receive payment-card details. Existing subscriptions remain recognized through their already-paid period; they do not become lifetime access.

Versions Before 2.0

The following disclosures describe earlier app versions. Updating to version 2.0 stops the earlier analytics and subscription-record integrations. Parents may contact us about data previously sent by an earlier version.

Data We Process

Unless a parent turns analytics off in Parent Settings, the app collects the following limited information for analytics and app operation:

• Product interactions, such as screens viewed, games played, coloring tools and color families used, session duration, app version, operating system version, device class (phone or tablet), and app language.
• Crash and error reports, such as the error type and the app code location where it happened.
• Purchase information, such as the product identifier, purchase or restore result, and subscription status. We do not receive payment-card details.
• A random identifier created by the app on first launch, so events from the same installation can be counted together. It is not derived from the device, is not shared with other apps, and is replaced if a parent resets it in Parent Settings or the app is reinstalled.

We do not request or collect a child’s name, email address, contacts, photos, location, device identifiers, device model, advertising identifier, or IP-derived location. We do not record screens, audio, camera input, or artwork. Artwork is stored on the device unless a parent chooses to save or share it using Apple’s system controls.

How We Use Data

We use this information only to support the app’s internal operations: understanding which features work well, diagnosing errors, improving usability, maintaining purchases, and preventing abuse. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or building advertising profiles.

Service Providers

We use PostHog as an analytics and crash reporting processor. Analytics data is sent to PostHog’s European Union service and processed only on our behalf for the purposes described above. We disable IP geolocation, discard IP addresses, and disable user profiles, automatic device properties, feature flags, and session replay.

We use RevenueCat to keep subscription records. RevenueCat receives purchase receipts under its own random identifier, separate from the analytics identifier. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit under Apple’s privacy terms.

Parent Controls and Choices

Anonymous analytics is on by default and its control is located behind the parent gate in Parent Settings. A parent can turn analytics off at any time, which stops new analytics from being sent and stops subscription records from the next app launch, and can reset the random identifier.

We do not create accounts or collect device or advertising identifiers, so analytics events are not linked to a child’s identity. Contact us with any privacy or retention request.

Children’s Privacy

Kids Coloring Games 2–8 is intended for children. The limited usage information described above is used solely to support the app’s internal operations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising, profiling, or sale. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Retention and Security

We retain analytics only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and improve the app, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
